Restoration
600 Pullman
The Mercedes-Benz 600 was the pinnacle of Mercedes Luxury produced from 1963 to 1981. This Mercedes-Benz 600 6-door Pullman is one of only 20 right-hand drive examples produced worldwide. We were commissioned by the owner to fully restore the vehicle for their usage and also Museum display purposes.

This 6-door Pullman was delivered to us in poor mechanical condition, after our appraisal of the vehicle’s overall condition we were instructed to fully restore the vehicle.
Work entailed complete bodywork and interior restoration, complete wood trim re-veneering and complete re-chroming of all internal and exterior chrome.
Mechanically we overhauled the engine including the injection system and ancillaries.
The brake system overhaul included hydraulics and air systems.
Both front and rear axles were totally dismantled, overhauled and rebuilt.

All air suspension bellows and level valves including control and regulator valves were overhauled.
We carried out the comfort hydraulic system overhaul of switches, rams, pump, accumulator and all seal connectors to pipe and hose blocks.
After 2 years of project management, the 6-door Pullman was fully restored to the customer’s satisfaction, so much so that as soon as the Pullman was delivered back to our client he instructed us to restore his SWB 600 Grosser to the exact colour combination and specifications as the Pullman.
We are the leading restoration specialist on type 600 in the UK.
